Bio: Charlie Appleby trains horses at the Moulton Paddocks stable in Newmarket, Suffolk, and has been part fo the Godolphin stable since 1992 – the Maktoum family’s private Thoroughbred horseracing stable. He started as head lad for Saeed bin Suroor, then moved to assistant trainer to Mahmood Al Zarooni

Appleby has experienced both national and international success, with recent wins with Masar in the Derby (2018) and Blue Point in the King’s Stand Stakes (2018) locally. Internationally, He won the Australian Sydney Cup with Polarisation in 2017 and US success with Wuheida in the Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Turf the same year.

2022 is Appleby’s best year to date, with 152 wins and £6,251,358 in prize money (marginally better wins wise than his 2015 record of 151 wins). In the same year, Charlie Appleby won £500,000 in prize money when Coroebus stormed to victory in the 2000 Guineas Stakes. All of this adds to an impressive net worth.
