Richard Spencer

 

Bio: Richard Spencer is a UK horse trainer based at Sefton Lodge.  He’s currently part of the Rebel Racing partnership between himself and owner/breeder Phil Cunningham. In 2016 they experienced success at Royal Ascot (Rajasinghe winning the Coventry Stake). The pair are also located at Albert House Stables, with the addition Sefton Lodge facilities coming into play in 2018, speaking to their continued success.

An accomplished race rider himself with 25 wins over Point-to-Point, and also rode as an amateur winning the Royal Artillery Gold Cup at Sandown and
Hunter Chase at Ascot. In learning the training ropes with Peter Bowen, Barry Hills, Charlie Hills and Michael Bellover a ten year plus period, there can have been no better education and foundation to work from. His training license was awarded to him in 2016 and good things are expected. The
Rajasinghe Royal Ascot win was the perfect start.
