Philip Hobbs
Bio: Specialising in national hunt racing, Philip Hobb’s stables are located at Minehead, Somerset. He’s accumulated some impressive prestige wins over the years such as Flagship Uberalles in the 2002 Queen Mother Champion Chase, Rooster Booster in the Champion Hurdle, both wins taking place during the Cheltenham Festival. He has 18 Cheltenham Festival wins to his name in total. Hobbs does have a minor involvement in flat racing too.
Prior to becomning a trainer Philip Hobbs had over 160 wins as a jump jockey and so he’s witnessed the sport from multiple perspectives, no doubt providing valuable insights. His record as trainer eclipses this though, with over 2500 wins under his belt to date. He’s by no means shy about his success, setting himself a target of 100 wins and £1 million in prize money per season.
