Bio: Breaking it down to ‘Racehorse Trainer. Trained three Classic winners.‘ on his Twitter profile description, Ralph Beckett and his team are based at Kimpton Down Stables in Hampshire, England. His begin his career in racing as a stable lad in Australia, where his learned a lot from the likes of Colin Hayes, before continuing this learning curve with Jimmy Fitzgerald. Further education continued with the Arthur Moore, Martin Pipe and Peter Walwyn. I can’t think of a better apprenticeship.

Taking over from Peter in 2000, he amassed 105 wins, before moving to Whitsbury Manor with Chris Harper and eclipsing his previous wins total, this time with 245 wins, including Look Here in the Oaks and Muhannak in the Breeders’ Cup Marathon. Moving to Kimpton in 2011 proved to be a solid move, wish over 500 wins following including a 1-2 in the 2013 Oaks and a St Leger win. He has a record to be reckoned with!
